The paling of the landscape

As a small boy I remember my father coming back from photography evening classes, talking about seasonal changes in light, and explaining why changes in light temperature make winter colours paler than in summer. I blipped from here on 22nd April, showing the bright green shoots of spring. Today it was clear that the light of winter is upon us.
