‘Flu

Summer time ended and the five months of winter lower light begins. These are tough times for us all as the pandemic ricochets our emotions. Easier said than done but it is best to try to roll with the restrictions and bit by bit we will find a way through these darker days.

The media seems intent on amplifying the negative at the moment and the PM looks increasingly “feart”. He really needs to “take back control” rapidly now, or stand aside and let someone who can, take over, and show genuine leadership.

Our drive through ‘flu jags worked like clockwork at Easter Road first thing this morning. We took advantage of being near the port of Leith to walk around the harbour. The P&O Channel Ferries have gone back into service on the Dover-Calais route after their Covid enforced sojourn in Leith. There were more North Sea oil related vessels tied up awaiting work than I have seen for a long time.

An afternoon of leaf sweeping - autumn has definitely arrived!
