Sunny cottage

Went for a walk after church this morning and chose to snap this thatched cottage and adjoining complex as it was well lit up by the sun. I'd wanted to take photos round the corner from here but it was in shadow - needs to be an early morning shot I think. The big metal gates and the metal spikes make the place adjoining the cottage look rather intimidating - but at the same time a gate is wide open!

Very relieved that Dad's phone line is operating again - we had no end of problems with the mobile phone, not least that he can't really see to operate it. I arranged for a new big button mobile phone to be sent first class via Amazon because of that. At least it will be there if the lines go down again. (Apparently BT said somebody had stolen a load of wires from the junction box - most of his road was down).
