Wildlife and snow

We had about 8-10 inches of snow overnight here in Colorado.  The good news is it also snowed where the fires were burning so it will help the firefighters contain the fires.   Except the temperature is well below freezing .

It snowed most of the day but my hunting man decided we would go out to scout in case the snow let up (it did not!).  So we spent the day in the truck at various overlooks at the property where he is hunting.  The highlight of the day was this coyote who had so much personality.  He was looking for things moving under the snow,  looking out across a big field and in the sagebrush.   I know they are a menace to the cattle ranchers and the sheep ranchers here but he is really pretty.   

I spent the day reading a book in the truck.  Walked in the snow a little to take some photos.   We had sandwiches and some hot beverages plus we have a crate of snacks, fruit and drinks in the truck.  

Hoping tomorrow it is not snowing so hard so we can get out and walk!  Even if it is freezing cold.
