The Derwent Walk.

A beautiful day, so we went on the Derwent Walk in Gateshead. Through countryside, next to the river, and back over the disused railway line. This is the salmon leap at Swalwell, recently built to help salmon and sea trout get over the weir.Just opened in July last year, bringing these fish back for the first time in 300 years.
