Wound up in Wexford

Toad lily

Exercise this morning then a brief visit from TonyG.  We sat in the garden room and had a cup of tea and a rock cake, watching the jays collecting acorns from the lawn (they aren't doing a very good job of clearing the grass, we really need to rake the rest up before the garden waste is collected on Thursday).  We then managed a short excursion around the garden, though we were rapidly rained off.  We were both attracted by the toad lilies - I did try to get a photo of these a couple of days ago, but was foiled by the blustery wind.  I noticed we have the first flowers on our winter flowering jasmine.

We then had a rather lazy afternoon, though I did manage to do some flute playing.
