Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2020 Monday — Real Mail!

Most of the time our mail arrives after 5:00 pm because we are a “training” neighborhood for the postal workers. So I was in the kitchen when Mr. Fun walked in with today’s stack of mail.

With kid-like excitement he started telling me we had “real” mail and his name was included in the address. Then he told me he thought he ought to get to open it. So I agreed and asked him not to rip the envelope into pieces.

Next came the oooohs and aaaahs. He loves looking at the moon. Tookie, he was so impressed with your photo. I am too! Then we both admired the entire handmade creation we had in our hands. AND a real hand-written letter. This is a rare treasure. AND it was the highlight of our afternoon after a pretty rugged day.

At 4:00 am, we were woken-up because of terrific winds and the sounds of debris hitting the house, and the wind has blown all day. I stayed in bed most the day sick with an “almost” migraine headache.A terrible fire is now burning on the western edge of our city, which is the borderline of Orange County and the Inland Empire. We knew that wind would most likely spark fire.

Again, Thank YOU Tookie!
Good night from wind-torn SoCal,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
