Carpe diem

It was a lovely day, and, on the spur of the moment, Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero, seemed the correct attitude to take. We visited Lounardo's grandfathers grave and took Dorissimo and M as well. "You take the picture" I said to Lounardo, who then a little tentatively agreed. She then took some really nice shots of the sun shining through the tree, lines of graves in the background and the Tyne Valley in the distance. A good call! She is a natural!

There were four very large Red Kites circling and swooping at each other overhead. That was quite a spectacular and aerobatic sideshow. The graves were very interesting, including some relatives from the locality. One grave was even of a young lad who was killed in an avalanche on the French Alps. It was an interesting little excursion and quite lovely up there on the hill.

Home now to dinner, and a nice bottle of red wine, before taking Dorissimo home.
