Bus day.

Yesterday was spent at the beach. Today was spent on a bus. Two buses to be exact.

We left Sihanoukville at 7:45am and arrived in Battambang at 8:45pm. While the day felt like a waste, it did provide an opportunity to see more of the countryside.

The Cambodian countryside has been an interesting contradiction to the cities we have been staying at. While the cities are developing at a rapid rate, the countryside is still agricultural based and a large majority of people still live below the poverty line. Houses are an interesting thing to note. If a village is prospering, then the houses have tile roofs versus tin sheets. Houses with glass windows are a luxury not often seen once outside of the cities.
