Our custom made wedding rings arrived today; we are soooo pleased with them!

Our dear friend Bam is a silversmith (and a bonafide rock star; he’s the drummer with The Dogs D’amour) and we just love his jewellery. Mr A always said if we ever got married, he wanted a Bamtastic ring.

I already have a ‘proper’ wedding ring (platinum to go with my engagement ring) but got serious envy when I saw the design for Mr A’s silver ring. I will either wear mine on the left hand if I’m being low key (possibly for work as we aren’t meant to wear any gem set jewellery) or on the right hand as a dress ring. It’s nice to have a choice!

We sent a couple of bits of silver jewellery over to Bam (he’s in Florida) so he’s melted those into our pieces.

They’re a bit rock and roll and we love the fact they’re unique to us; personalised with our initials and since the wedding got postponed until next year, our original date stamp on the inside of the bands has been struck though and the new date stamped next to it.
This will serve as a reminder not that we need one of what should have been.
As an added bonus (and lovely surprise) he also sent us 2 his n hers pinky rings, stamped with hearts!

The wedding rings are under wraps until the big day, but today’s blip is the lovely package we received from Bam. The card will also be put away until the wedding day :-)
