The season is upon us

Winter sunrises, that is. I suspect the best of this was a bit before we got up. We were later than usual, partly because I was still reading at 3am, having had a bout of insomnia which prevented me getting to sleep. It seems to me that if I don't fall asleep more or less immediately, I often find it hard to get to sleep at the moment.

Today, in an endeavour to make sure it didn't happen again, I forced myself to go out for a very rainy walk in the afternoon, before I sat down to attend a webinar. I actually quite enjoyed it, but I would have rather that the weather had remained as it was this morning. Sadly it did not.
