Rush hour in the cycle lane

Still, the local residents reckon that it is well worth the semi-permanent traffic jam in Monkstown village. 
They love that cycle lane. 
They love the fact that it sprung up unannounced one morning during the first lockdown. 
But they do not mind not having been consulted. They had never thought about it but now that they see it in action, they can't believe that they did not clamour for one decades ago. 
Really, that double cycle lane used by at least 6 cyclists between 8.00am and 9.00am is what they had not dared to dream of. 
How fortunate is it that the council can read their minds?
