Seeing red.......

Slept ok.....woke up to pouring rain again!
Hubs still not feeling great, so I popped to the shop for his paper and a bit of something for his lunch before I went in search of paint and wallpaper, via B&Q, Dunelm, & Next where I just happened to bump into sis ;-) We also did some shopping in Sainsburys and M&S before going our separate ways.

I had a horrible journey over, A580 down to one lane, lots of roadworks, new pavements being laid, 3 way lights, road closure.....you name it, I encountered it today.

Made arrangements to return something I bought from a friend who sells fashionwear from home... called on my way home as planned, but she had forgotten and was away with her children for half term. She suggested I leave it with her neighbour so off I went..... she wasnt in either !! I asked if I could leave it with someone else.......waited nearly half an hour sat in the car, but no reply, so eventually headed home. Traffic was busy as it was gone 4.30........almost home, I forgot anout the road closure, went to turn towards home then realised.......a 15minute detour arghhhhh!!!!!!

Can you tell Ive had a stressful day lol!

Needless to say its another back garden blip, another of our little acers, with a clematis growing through it, with our viburnum,which has a second flush of flowers, never happened before, and our miscanthus grass with its purple stems. The acer lost a whole limb a few years ago, hence its funny shape.I thought it wouldnt survive, but obviously it has!

Hub requested a steak & kidney pie for his tea, whilst I had seabass. I have found out that the blind company that didnt show yesterday have had a covid outbreak and have closed for two weeks apparently, so that would explain the lack of communication!

I am currently sat looking at large swatches of wallpaper stuck all over the lounge with blue tack, not sure I like any of them now Ive got them home :-/

Weather for the week looks set to continue as is.......altogether pretty rubbish!!
