Our Early Morning Call...or Wag!
What a wet day! Torrential rain and hailstones with the odd bit of bright sunshine to tease us!
Luckily I can't go out because of my poorly knee so Frank had to take Bella out twice and got soaked both times.
Bella May came bounding upstairs to wake us up at 5.30 this morning - I think she's still on the old time. She just comes and breathes on us while wagging her tail madly. Frank got up to see if she needed to go for a wee but when they came downstairs she just went back to bed!
When I eventually came downstairs she was snoozing until Frank got ready to take her out, but before he went he made sure I had everything on my sofa office - book, iPad, phone, art stuff, newspaper etc and coffee on the side table.
When they came back he had borrowed the crutches from Bob next door - I used them last time I did my knee in May.
I've been taking ibuprofen and paracetamol which helps a lot.
I spent nearly all day drawing and colouring. I hope I can keep it up after 31st. I work best under pressure so a challenge is good for me. I've neglected all my other hobbies this month
but I can soon pick them up again.
Todays prompt was 'Float' so I did leaves floating down from a tree. A bit out of my comfort zone as I prefer drawing people and tend to over work landscape. But it's OK.
The Covid lady came today for bloods and swabs. This is the 5th week and from now on it will just be monthly. We always get the results a few days later by post. You'd think it would be easier to text.
We watched a fascinating programme last night about the Vikings, presented by Neil Oliver. My maiden name - Nicholson - is a Viking name. My mum was a Daines which apparently is a variation of Danes so she always said her origins were VIking too. I reckon that's why I feel happiest on the water :-)
Harlots is on at 9 so we'll be settling down to watch that before book and bedtime.
Goodnight :-)X
