Don't fence me in

Cycled in the morning to larger Sainsbury's on a new development instead of the city centre one.  The path begins 5 minutes away from home on a little track by the side of one of the last older houses. It used to be a path cutting through the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB). The land has now been allocated large scale development, phase 1 having consumed land which had been for field trials.
Main shows the path now fenced in. On the right hand signs state: No Entry Construction Site and indeed there are numerous apartment blocks and construction vehicles.  On the left birds can be seen and heard and at one time skylarks.  It also was an informal space for dog walkers and runners.  Yet another open space taken away on this side of Cambridge.
Extra - the as yet unfenced open space where many birds were flying up from. Second extra fenced in to the right after having passed through the path in the main.
