Valentine's Day!

My daughter loves any kind of celebration so today was a good day for her. She made everyone beautiful Valentine's cards and distributed them this morning, much to the delight of everyone. I made one for her which she loved and they were all proudly displayed in the living room. Then she chose to do a Valentine's arts and crafts activity with Bollo's entertainment team before we went swimming. She made a colourful paper Valentine frog and painted a box which was filled with heart shaped sweets which she shared with us.

When we came out of the swimming pool the above heart shaped balloons were being given out for free so the kids were very happy. In the afternoon Daddy took Olivia back to the 'Speelbos' for Bollo's Birthday party, along with H and C, while Dexter had another of his epic afternoon sleeps (this boy certainly makes the most of his holidays!). They had a great time and one of Olivia's pictures was chosen for display on the stage which she was very pleased about. During this time it started to snow heavily so when Dexter and B woke up we got wrapped up and went and had some fun in the snow - wish I'd brought the sledge!

Once the kids were all tucked up in bed this evening, the boys cooked up a Valentine's three course meal accompanied by champagne which was lovely. This was then followed by some board games which kind of spoilt the romance as things became a little competitive!
