Terracotta Army

We have had one of those totally unexpected brilliant days today.
My lovely family patiently waited for me to do a long run (2 hours +) this morning and then we headed into Town as it was the last day of the Terracotta Army exhibition at The Bourse. My parents have been and a blipper friend has been and we'd heard how good it was and we certainly weren't disappointed. Olivia was really good and asked questions and listened and Dexter slept for most of it, which meant that I could also enjoy the exhibition - hurray! It was really difficult choosing a photo as I have a lovely one of the replica army as they were found in the pit but I love the detail in the above blip and hubby agreed so this one is the winner for today.

From there we wandered to The Grand' Place and treat ourselves to frites and chocolate waffles in the Roy d'Espagne where our kids had their Naming Day. On our way back to the car we took a little detour past the Manneken Pis so the kids could see the statue of the little boy weeing. For Christmas we bought Olivia and Dexter a book about a dog called Louis who visits Brussels and as we've been reading it recently it was great going to some of the sights that he visits in the book.

We love Brussels!
