Lighting Up!
Unbelievably wet weather today with unrelenting torrential rain all day long... obviously as a result it did not even get particularly light! The rain finally eased at around 5pm when it was properly dark...
Anyway, that aside, made my own sunshine successfully by taking a trip to Todmorden with a visit to Gordon Rigg Garden Centre and then into Hebden Bridge. A beautiful collection of seasonal displays at Gordon Rigg's where I spotted this brilliantly illuminated bike. :-)
It was lovely to take a stroll around a very quiet Hebden Bridge, looking in the various little shops. It is fab to have been able to make some Christmas gift purchases and support the small, local businesses.
Back to the news that West Yorkshire is entering Tier Three as of Monday which was inevitable and a long time coming. It doesn't change much for me, you can still go to work/school...and meet up with Holly, and Ezra, for a stroll...you just can't go indoors or outdoors in a garden or hospitality venue with anybody outside your household or bubble...and pubs will close if they're not serving meals. I feel for the small cafés which are going to be hit by the restrictions on meeting people inside and outside...what a time to be alive...;-) Just got to keep smiling through!
