Crutched Friars

The Minories is found between Aldgate and Tower Hill. The name looks to have been derived from the name of an abbey of nuns of the order of St Clare called the Minories.

This Blip shows the memorial to the Crutched Friars and was erected in 1985. They did not move around on crutches but were members of the House of the Holy Cross. Latin for cross is Crux. They mark the site of their original London house.

I used the fish eye lens again for this shot because I wanted to get an image that not only showed both roads but also give a flow to the image following the line of their cassocks.

Well its the weekend again. Have a good one. Who knows what next week will bring,
