We managed to collect about 5 inches of snow today, the first of the season.To mark the occasion, I made this little apple and walnut "torta rustica" for our Elevenses this morning. Winnie the Pooh and Rabbit would have been well-pleased.  There was some leftover gluten-free pie dough from a spinach and feta tart earlier in the week, and the filling takes just a few minutes.  Twenty minutes in the toaster oven and there it is.
