Eerie beast outside

I got a shock when I saw my photo. Had I captured an eerie beast by accident? No. Our gutters were overflowing in torrential rain and the water flowing down the window distorted the door on the other side of the courtyard. Otherwise it would be the stuff of nightmares.

Thank goodness we had the gutters and valleys cleared a couple of days ago. That probably saved us from water getting into the roof cavity - again!
