Friday Jaunt

It being a fine day, and with a forthcoming change to regulations being the advice to not travel outside one's local authority area, rather than the current restriction of not travelling outwith one’s health board area, and being desirous of at all times complying with the said regulations, and writing sentences which are perfectly grammatically correct if slightly on the long side (even for myself), we seized the opportunity to travel to the furthest reaches of our aforementioned health board area, which must be North Berwick as after that it's just sea. Here’s a photo of it.
And very jolly it was too. We even had a carry out coffee and I treated m’lady to a Greggs pastry delicacy with beans and sausage; a sort of Scottish pizza as we promenaded through the streets. Eventually it came time to take our leave of the fair burgh, so after strolling back to the car we travelled out via the back roads of East Lothian and thence home to stately Edinburgh. Cough cough cough.
