Portrait of a Mountain Man

This is my friend Tim, survivor of the big C. He wasn't as grumpy as he looks BTW.
Today we were ticking off "Wainwrights" above Longsleddale.

This was taken on the top of Harrop Pike.

It was a great day, bright and bitter cold, with a cruel biting wind. Tim's recovery continues to improve, though hacking through calf deep old snow was very wearing on the legs.

Only 11km but a Grand Day Out!
