The Sun Sinks in the West
I made a parsnip and apple soup this morning. We had some of it for lunch, there's enough left over to see us through the next lockdown!
The tennis was disappointing with UK's number one, Dan Evans, being thrashed in the semifinals in Vienna by a virtually unknown. Never mind, at least we have some tennis to watch now, albeit with much reduced, or non-existent, audiences.
I took my usual walk to Shottery as the sun was lowering. I quite liked the effect of that with the bare trees and angry sky.
Just waiting now for Boris, who keeps delaying his press conference. I'm not sure why he's bothering as the details of the lockdown are all over the news anyway.
