A misty start!

I went for an illegal walk with Carmen, the chestnut forager, at 8am. We had our attestations, but didn't meet anyone until we were almost home when we met a French girl with an aggressive French bulldog on the lead.
Then the misty foggy weather lifted and we had blue sky and sunshine, so I went out and pulled some weeds while Mr F went to the dechetterie where the question of the day was "What do we put on the form?"
Nobody knew, as we are only allowed out for shopping exercise and medical reasons So what does going to the tip come under? Somebody reasoned that as the tip was open we should be allowed to go there, so they all decided to just put "dechetterie" on the form!
The sunshine and blue skies lasted until lunchtime when it clouded over but I stayed outside as tomorrow and Monday are forecasted to be rainy, then I spoke to all my kids on FaceTime, cleaned out the hens, collected the eggs (8 today) and watched in amazement as the hens found a big black toad from somewhere and tried to eat it. But the toad fought back, and crawled away to live another day.
