Rain and hail when we arrived - got soaked in minutes
Retreated to the car until it blew over, then a lovely fresh walk along by Leasowe bay
Pit stop in New Brighton - people watching, chatting, and looking out to sea (and eating rocky road)
Birthday meal out (not mine) - sharing board and drinks
Last for a while, judging by the press conference
