Long

Busy day. Up early again with them and took a while to clear up and pack but then down to beachfront cafe for brunch. Had hoped to nip down to do some wave jumping again but the weather was terrible.... horizontal rain and very gusty wind.
They ate really well (surprisingly for AR she devoured a 2 fried egg roll!) then said goodbye to A&N and we popped over to see G&K briefly. They were very excited to go and see the chickens and collected two eggs. Finally set off to take them home but a lot of traffic and bad weather so it took a long time. Luckily we had Disney songs to sing to!
Good to see the progress Mt&H had made...the kitchen finished (extra) so now they can start putting everything back in and reclaim their sitting room from the fridge and kettle etc!
Back to T&Kt’s and finally, having been very out of the news loop, caught up on the chaos at Westminster and watched the hasty news conference announcing English lockdown next week. What a mess! Just as well I’m going home tomorrow...but clearly won’t be back for ages now. We went out to the Carrington Arms in Moulsoe for supper....again the last for a while. Was delicious and they loved their steaks, although we were stuffed afterwards and needed to get home to lie down!
