Linking Past With Future

At important family occasions, like the wedding of our oldest friends' daughter yesterday, I suspect we all find ourselves reflecting: "Wouldn't [.........] have been so proud if they were still with us."

I inherited these gold cuff-links when my late father died nearly nine years ago. At "big" events now, I always wear these as a nod to the past while looking to the future.
