Dracula meets Spiderman
Well I have broke the running promised myself I would do. I wanted to poster every day from 7th Oct to 7th November. Never mind it was for the best of reasons. I have been a bit busy decorating the space room departed by Mya. We were told on Wednesday that the young lady we had met had decided she wanted to come and live with us. So frantically buying bed, bedding, paint and all the rest needed to make a teenage girl feel comfortable safe and part of the family. Three coats of emulsion to cover the bright cerise pink walls with a cool modern grey as per requested. No time to gloss this is a job for a bit later now when she is settled as she arrived a day early. So welcome Vicki. Photographs may be forthcoming if I an allowed - sometimes, as in our current little one I am not. So Vicki and Q are already best of friends (result) and wet about doing each others Halloween make up.
I had planned to do the Monster Bash for Joshy and Boo and that went ahead. The flying keys invites were dispatched and maybe a bit lost of the kids but Dad loved them.
We had severed fingers (hot dogs), witches brew with a bloody and in floating eye balls in it, which again blew Dad away. Even thought knew the eyeballs were Lychees stuffed with mini grapes he could not get past the fact that they has the texture and crunch her expected an eye ball to be.
Then we made mini pumpkins from melted marsh mallows and rice crisps which were amazing but a bit of a sugar rush.
The finale was our pumpkin carving - I have never done one like it before and was quite pleased with the result.
I have to say I fell in to bed exhausted - it's been a rollercoaster few days but well worth the effort.
