Both the weather and the news are fairly gloomy at the moment so I decided that this year the winter lights need to appear a bit earlier than usual . 
Hopefully the lighted window will raise the spirits of the household as well as  those who pass by . Our house is a corner house so a fair number of folk pass by on a daily basis . 
Today we have hung up some of the family photos that have been waiting around for a while as well as moved some of our treasure around . We have been given many lovely and interesting bits and pieces , I like to move them about from time to time so that we can appreciate them . We are not minimalists as you can probably tell neither do we have expensive tastes . Our life's story sits on our shelves and hangs on our walls.
Unfortunately it all requires regular dusting , and who has time for that !
