No Dig Conversion Phase 1
This phase involves the introduction of a new veg bed covering the line of the pre existing grass path and part of the shingle path, the edgings for which have been moved to the left. The conversion process is really simple. Don't dig. Ever again. Not once. In order to suppress the grass and weeds in the path, I've first laid some stout cardboard on the ground. Part of the bed was bare earth, so no need for cardboard there (see previous garden blips). on top is about 10-15cm (4"-6") of spent mushroom compost and that is it - one new bed! It is now ready for planting / sowing into.
Once the produce in the adjacent dig bed have finished, phase 3 can begin. As for phase 2, stay tuned...
