Brown Eyed Girls

We spotted a fallow deer doe being pursued by a big buck with huge antlers by the lake this morning but I failed to get a shot. :( I noticed a while ago that the willow on the bank had been damaged. Small branches had been snapped off and a large branch has lost its bark. I'm guessing this buck is the culprit. Deer rub trees with their antlers to mark their territories. Shortly afterwards this female muntjac burst out of the brambles in front of us.

I photographed the female kestrel skimming over the stubble at Lodge Farm this afternoon. It was very windy and the light was rubbish.
