Look where I've Beinn
I had an overdue day on the hills today with some old pals. And the weather was perfect - high pressure, clear(ish) blue skies and some snow on the ground. We headed up past Bridge of Orchy and along the track at Achallader Farm towards Crannach Wood - an ancient remnant of the native pine and birch forest that once covered much of Scotland. From there we headed up towards Beinn a Chreachain which was still holding a lot of snow and some big cornices on its upper slopes.
We had some fun glissading down off the ridge and the setting sun over the Black Mount on our walk back out to civilisation was the end to great day.
This is a 6 image panoramic shot of the crags on the north face of Beinn a Chreachain above the frozen Lochain a Chreachain.
