Happy Birthday

Today is Charlie’s birthday. It is the first time ever that I haven’t been able to give him a hug on his birthday. This has made me pretty sad today. But we did FaceTime and my inspired idea to get him tickets to the Beatles experience went down really well. He makes me proud every single day.
Much of the day has been spent working out the pros and cons of him leaving university for home before lockdown on Thursday. Do we wait for his flight at the beginning on December to possibly be cancelled, and thus run the risk of him not being able to get home? Or should he leave now and work online but miss his performance module seminars? This flipping virus has an awful lot to answer for.
