Storm over Dunstanburgh Castle

In advance of the new lockdown, due to start on Thursday, we've had a day out up the coast with two of our sons & their partners (total of 6 people, travelling in separate cars and socially distanced of course). We started at Low Newton with a walk along Embleton beach towards Dunstanburgh Castle: as you can see it was blowing a hooley which was a nuisance in a way as the sand was blowing around, but it provided a great blippertunity and the rain held off.

(The photo looks best large, against black.)

Before parting company again we had fish & chips, sitting on the benches by the harbour at Seahouses.

One reason for the trip was to see our "grandpuppy" for the first time - our eldest son recently acquired her. We were very excited to meet her - almost as excited as she was when she met us! She's a sproodle (springer spaniel/miniature poodle cross) , and being only three and a half months old she's a gorgeous little bundle of energy. You can see her in the extra.
