This beautifully rich rose is “Burgundy Iceberg”. Our three standard bushes have just started flowering.
Today is Marlborough Anniversary Day.... a public holiday. I managed some planting in the garden before rain set in late morning. The rain is welcome as the total rainfall for October in Blenheim was way lower than the average amounts. Son Duncan gave me some welcome help in the garden yesterday before he departed, with Bryan the Birman, for his property near Havelock. This evening I am preparing ingredients for a batch of capsicum chutney. Yum
