Cotinus

That is what I think it is anyway.

I had to go for an eye test this morning in our nearest town, so we decided that as we were out we would stop at a very nice cafe we know for lunch. 3 poached eggs (yes 3!) on granary toast with avocado slices and chopped chestnuts. At least that is what we ordered but when it arrived there were 2 large rashers of bacon on the plate as well. As I am not a lover of bacon I donated mine to Guy. I didn't need to cook an evening meal later!

As I got out of the car I spotted these beautifully coloured leaves on a shrub overhanging the pavement. I think it is Cotinus but not completely sure.
