The Woods for the Walk
The Astor estate, a bridleway alongside fields with proper hedges and wildlife spaces, is a pleasure to walk in. There was even a large strip on one field which had dying sunflowers left to rot, presumably because it could be a refuge and food for all manner of creatures.
And this couple walked past because they had a long way to walk – I know not where, but they were still walking when we turned back, lightweights that we were.
