Doing something about it
Today was a long day at work. Parent teacher interviews. I was at school for 11 and a half hours.
Talking, smiling and generally being positive for lots of hours. Phew. Pretty exhausting.
When I had escorted the last beaming parent to the door, I grabbed my things and raced to the car.
I got changed at a friend's house and then we went en masse to the pub where I was going to be performing.
As per usual, it was a nightmare organisation-wise, with no-one knowing what anyone else was doing, but that's my 'muso' friends for you. :)
I backed Andy on a couple of songs and then played a couple of my own songs. It was fun. I had a few good friends there who had never heard me sing before. They were very complimentary and a little surprised, I think.
I toyed with blipping this sunrise shot which I took ten minutes to enjoy this morning, but felt that as this is my journal and I am supposed to record my daily doings, I would blip my first singsong in a while. The sunrise was pretty spectacular. I felt very blessed to be able to to stand there in the frigid morning air with only cows for company, ignoring the cars whizzing past us at 100 kmph and just being.
Hmmm, I can look inside and draw on that peace when it's all a bit hectic. :)
Night.
