"The sun will come out tomorrow . . ."
Tomorrow . . . .
I have done my very best to stay silent on political issues thus far. And I will not voice my opinion now.
BUT . . .
I humbly urge my fellow Americans, and those who are voicing their opinions regarding the current candidates running for the leadership of the United States, to consider that your comments may be creating further division.
Today alone I have read many comments on several social media websites, including Blipfoto, which are disheartening and divisive. Not everyone agrees with either what the current liberal media is dishing out, nor with the conservative rhetoric.
These venues and the following they have gathered are creating more anger and division, rather than patience, respect of others' opinions and unity.
The United States of America is a diverse people. We can expect differences of opinion. That has been one of our strengths over the years. But, we are also Americans first, defending our country and our way of life. Let's not let that all fall apart because of special interests.
My intent has not been to insult or antagonize, merely to add to understanding and respect of the diversity of our country. And if I have offended, please accept my sincerest apologies.
So, I will step down off of my soapbox now.
Thank you for your patience. I would like to leave you all with this for now. A very wise man said recently that those that do not trust God for their welfare, focus on their government for their welfare.
As for me, I will trust God.
