Well worn

not quite the comfort of a slipper but molded to the owner's foot.

On this eve of the most important presidential election yet for the US, I keep my fingers crossed for an outcome that will reestablish the values the country was founded on.  Even if Trump is ousted, it'll be a long haul to right the wrongs and "deprogram" his supporters.  And we all know that he will not go quietly: his divisive voice will continue to be aired and to sow discontent.  Yet this is infinitely preferable to the alternate outcome... I'm dusting off my French passport.
