Kahili Ginger (HEDYCHIUM gardnerianum)

Also known as the "Ginger Lily". This is the first one that I have seen out in flower this year. I love the smell of it, and the tiny flowers that make up the big head of flowers.
The Other Half got a couple of great shots of an Eagle Ray in the shallow waters near the jetty where we tied our boat up, on his cellphone. He tried texting them to me, but it didn't work. Just wish I had been there to get some photos. Oh well, hopefully another time.
