Stained Glass

Always up for a challenge! Hobbs and his cohorts in Blackheath have issued a world-wide challenge on the theme of glass.

Seeing that my speciality is buglets, I really really wanted a theme based on a bugs wing. And here it is.

I do have much better images of this particular fly, but I loved the stained glass effect on the wing, and it's the tiniest little fly imaginable. Not sure what it's going to look like enlarged, but what the heck!!

I really enjoyed doing this - it was a lot of fun, and more than a modicum of good luck. It's so hot today, so I just went and looked in the shade and these little flies were having a breather from the sun. Good for them!!
