Cobwebs & Cactus Christmas Trees
I thought I'd try & kick my cold into touch & braved the big wide world for a morning run with Jenny.
It was a beautiful day & we had a good run. I managed ok, & spotted this bizzare but brillant cactus covered in cobwebs - quick stop, *snap, & away we ran!Unfortunately Jen struggled more so & we fear she might be developing the cold I've had. Fun times. It didn't stop us though..!
We had our American style banana pancakes as promised, we did our weekly shop & did some chores. I finally got down to business & assembled the bed in the second room, & so we now have a spare room! Hazar! I cannot believe it's actually built. And Jen's new gardening gear was burning a hole in her pocket & so she began the small-big job of revamping & de-weeding our little garden & boarder. She started in fine form & it's already looking so much better.
We also got better acquainted with our neighbours, brothers Kevin & Andrew, who are characters that's for sure. Kevin brought us round some fresh sushi he'd rustled up, saying it would help with our running, giving us protein & energy. Such a nice gesture & it tastes fantastic. We chatted & he also revealed when we first moved in, they thought we were police, which made us chuckle.
On the subject of policemen, we settled down in the evening to tune into the amazing Ripper Street which was back on this week. It's such a good watch & next's weeks final episode is lining up to be a corker! And so it's been a really nice weekend, obviously apart from the cough & chest pains I've now developed. Here's hoping this week follows in fine blippin' form.. leaving out the cough & cold.
