The Connecticut oak

“This is the famous Charter Oak tree that hid the charter won from Britain's King Charles II in 1662. This charter established Connecticut's boundaries and self-rule. In 1687, Captain Joseph Wadsworth saved the charter from the hands of the British, hiding it safely in this tree”

A quiet day for me.  Finished and printed  Grandbaby’s card.  Made another apple flan and B came for a soup lunch in the porch which was wonderful!  Then Ro insisted on sorting out his quarter coins to give a set to our son for his birthday today, hence my Blip!  Course by the time we had finished the rain had started so no walk today.

Now a zoom with friends and family to watch the match tonight!
