Waiting for the ferry (Day 2004)

Back to the boiler installation this morning for a good old clear up and a to explain the heating controls to the customer. We also fitted a log burning stove while we were there.
There was time for coffee and cake, and a bit of a snooze for Phil before we headed back to the digs to collect our stuff.
We had a drive around the island then sat waiting for the ferry home as the sun set. We thought everything was going smoothly until the crane unloading the ferry burst a hydraulic hose. The crew did well and had it all fixed in about 45 minutes but it meant the boat was an hour late leaving. The sailing is over three hours so it will be after 8.30pm before I get home to my beautiful wife.
