hurl
We were awoken at three by the big one rushing through to tell us that the small one sounded like he was choking. Rushing through in turn, we discovered that he'd only made it to the ladders at the foot of the bed from where he was throwing up onto the floor. As repeated several times of the next eight hours, it was possibly just the involuntary heaves temporarily closing his airway, but must nevertheless have been alarming for both of them as they've not had many throwing-up sessions since they were very small and the pukes of travel-sickness are markedly less intense than those of some sort of emetic pathogen. As well as the general unpleasantness of the things which cause vomiting it was also considerably worrying that if he's managed to pick up a vomiting virus from one of his colleagues he might have picked up something else, unless it was something he ate, though the other two people who are what he ate last night seemed fine. Fortunately, we have a surplus of towels at the moment; things were mostly back to normal by the end of the day, though we must now wait and see if we were sufficiently assiduous in soaping our hands after clean-ups.
