curtain call

My friend Neil phones and asks I can come over to his place for a socially-distanced recording session.

He wants me to sing a verse and chorus of 'Will ye go lassie go' for a video he's making to put on the band website.

It takes a few attempts as I try to make eye-contact with a sheet of fabric; my attempts at engaging with an audience - "sorry to have kept you hanging around"  - fall flat. 

Finally Neil tells me "it's a wrap" and that's it.  Session over.

The last time we actually played together was about 8 months ago.  I've missed it.
