The last (but two) rose of summer!
Wednesday today so our mid week eucharist at church, we generally have around 10 there so it's a very friendly intimate service. I dropped off a couple of bags at the charity shop on the way. I've been sorting stuff out but have never got around to taking them to the shop.
Back home and as it was such a lovely day I got stuck into the garden. I planted some crocus and snowdrops into the bed outside our bedroom window - under the ignored bird feeder. Then I finally got around to planting a potentilla which I bought over a year ago. It's been lovely to be in the garden and to have found a couple of things I can do without having to kneel. Thanks by the way, for all the sympathy about my knee. I actually feel as if a great weight has been lifted now that I know what is actually wrong and that it can be fixed.
I've been trying not to think about what's going on in the US today.
Something very strange happened today, about 3 weeks ago we lost a key. I spent ages looking for it I even went back to Ali's house and searched around in the street where the car had been parked but no sign of it. Today, it was handed in to the school. Somebody had found it and handed it in so it was on the lost property shelf. Ali sent me a photo to confirm. St Anthony came up trumps just took a while to do so!
Lazy evening, the magazine has been sent out so I can relax for a while.
Steps today 5500
