Tessellated windows

I could have blipped another tree or a jigsaw puzzle today, the cat swap worked well and in return I got a Tate Gallery one (The Holiday, James Tissot) and a circular birds of prey one, I withdraw the comment about trains and steam engines.
As a bit of variety, I blipped the windows in the main building of what is now the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, formerly the Southern General which is what most people still call it. I have fond memories of the SG, when we lived in Argyll it was routine for all first time mothers to be admitted about one week before your due date, needless to say I ended up there for the best part of a month. I loved it, it was a real social eye opener and a I learnt a lot. In those days they didn’t have an M&S in the foyer and there was a smoking room just off the ward, even in 1987. They allowed me to leave the hospital every day and run round the pond in Govan Park.
One of the features of the original building were its large windows that gave you a fantastic view of Glasgow’s industrial heartland and the river, I do not imagine these windows do quite the same and the view would be a limited one of the car park even from the top floors.
The reason for the visit was very routine and nothing to do with COVID. As I waited outside (it was going like a fair inside with a long queue for a M&S lunch) I read Robert’s copy of Private Eye, excellent article about the approach to the virus in Taiwan, essentially based on technology and trust. I have come to the conclusion that Private Eye is the most reliable source of information on most topics.
Still no definitive result in the US election.
